Schwarzkopf Presents SS13 Essential Looks & the New Igora Royal

Twice a year Schwarzkopf unveils their much anticipated Essential Looks Collection, stunning visuals inspired by the season’s hottest catwalk trends. For Spring/Summer 2013 it’s all about the “Colour Buzz” trend and revealing how colour has the power to actually transform appearance. From “White Angles” devoted to form and structure, “Electric Youth” embracing punk and grunge, “Glam Chic” showcasing modern luxury and seduction, and finally “Mono Mod” bringing back the playful 60s, you can up your style factor no matter what mood you’re in. But not only has Schwarzkopf created 4 gorgeous runway-inspired looks, they’ve also released their NEW Igora Royal–a MAJOR leap in terms of professional hair colour.

Imagine my excitement when I was asked to be one of the first to experience it, and done by the talented Essential Looks artist Joey Marchese no less.

But what’s new about the “new Igora Royal”?? Well, it lasts longer (50%!), won’t irritate your scalp due to the addition of high quality oils, provides 25% more vibrancy no matter the hair type, provides a true colour match, and leaves the GREATEST shine you’ve ever experienced. The picture below doesn’t even do it enough justice. Needless to say I was very pleased with my colour (Black as per usual) and I definitely noticed the difference. It’s worth the hype!

Next, I had the pleasure of witnessing the Spring/Summer 2013 Essential Looks Collection first-hand at the Schwarzkopf Professional Fashion Show. Part of the creative team that evening was TV personality and Celebrity Stylist Kim Vo (one of the most sought after colour experts in the world!), who presented his creative angle on the iconic Blonde trends. Take a look at pictures from the runway and finally the Essential Looks of the Season below 🙂

White Angles Schwarzkopf

White Angles is all about rigorously simple lines, minimalism, and a WHITE contrast!

Electric Youth Schwarzkopf

Electric Youth is meant to be bold, brash, and exude sheer confidence. The dynamism from the ever-so-popular punk and grunge trend on the runway is displayed here at its finest.

Glam Chic Schwarzkopf

Glam Chic contrasts masculine elements with feminine touches. It’s a smouldering new take on modern LUXE. Consisting of cropped lengths oozing relaxed sophistication, and a restrained palette with a backdrop of midnight black for pure luxury.

Mono Mods Schwarzkopf

Mono Mods is all about the 60s bold vibe and graphic influence. With unadorned simplicity and the odd splash of colour, its playful mood provides room to swing.
