What’s Hot in the Toronto Scene?

These past few weeks I went to some exciting Toronto events and indulged in some much needed pampering. From the hottest fashion deals, a first look at Spring 2013 collections, beautiful makeovers, hand massages and gel manicures, to wine tasting, coveted swag bags, and wonderful company–this is why I love my city!

A Night of Pomp & Pageantry

On January 26th, I attended “A Night of Pomp & Pageantry“ with SAVVYto at 112 Scollard st. where many of Toronto’s fashionistas, bloggers, and socialites gathered to regale in this celebrated Yorkville Boutique’s hottest new picks of the season. Like I’ve said it before, Shellie Willms is a genius at what she does–needless to say her freshly selected Spring items flew off the shelves, even quicker than I could get my hands on them (I promise you, that’s pretty fast).

Also in attendance and participating in the festivities were AMK Studios–giving away luxurious winter hand massages, Bourjois Paris offering professional make up artistry, stylish bartenders topping off your *complimentary* drinks, and much sought after swag bags sponsored by Revlon, Skinny Girl, AMK Studios, Smashbox, Bourjois Paris, and off course Pomp & Pageantry! Visit to Concepts Salon & Spa

While shopping on Bloor a few weeks ago, I headed over to Concepts Salon & Spa at their Holt Renfrew Centre location, where I enjoyed a private spa manicure and french pedicure. It was my first time experiencing their services and I was quite impressed by the level of care and attention the esthetician provided. I tend to be picky when it comes to my nails and she did a wonderful job, they were flawless! I also really enjoyed the fact that I had my own little section as opposed to being lined up with others (I swear I’m not anti-social, but when it comes to the spa I love to relax ).

After my mini spa treatment, of course I had to go enjoy the delicious Rainbow Trout at Holt’s Cafe before calling it a day. And this favorite outfit of mine is by Pomp & Pageantry and chain necklace by Jo and Cole : )

Evening at Fresh Collective

On January 29th, I visited the Fresh Collective event at 692 Queen St. West, held by fellow blogger Dainty Girl (aka Nicole Wilson)! She is a Fresh Collective Ambassador and coordinated this great evening along with the owners behind this trendy, designer-run fashion boutique. Fresh Collective is extremely unique and a must to check out since they specialize in local Toronto designers–making their items few of a kind and carefully curated. Their amazing selection is also a product of their expertise in working alongside the designers themselves–a fresh option offered to local designers in order to kick off their brand. Needless to say, I had a fantastic time selecting additional pieces to add to my wardrobe while feeling all the more proud to say they were designed by local Torontonians

In addition, this fun-filled event included gorgeous complimentary gel manicures by Bio Seaweed Gel–which every single guest was raving about might I add, cruelty-free cosmetics by Dalish Cosmetics, as well as wine and tasty treats.
I ended up purchasing a very comfy, yet stylish black hoodie and coral-pink shrug with a very chic vintage clasp. I love the shrug especially since I can either wear it casually with a pair of jeans or throw it over a dress if I’m feeling chilly. With all these new addition I’m oh so excited for Spring to arrive
